Healys Supports The Sussex Clinical Legal Education
Healys is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the University of Sussex in its launch of the Sussex Clinical Legal Education this autumn, following two years of planning and preparation.
The Clinical Legal Education programme offers students the opportunity to gain invaluable experience, seeing how law operates in the real world, while providing crucial assistance to those in need. It is an integral part of the University’s commitment to engage with the community and to promote human rights and access to justice.
Clinical Legal Education facilitates a variety of pro-bono projects. These projects range from giving direct legal advice and assistance to the public on family and employment law issues, assistance in the County Courts, projects assisting local charities with community issues such as homelessness and employment rights to research for action groups and other non governmental organisations in legal challenges.
Dino Skinner, Managing Partner “We are pleased to be part of this ongoing initiative. Not only does it give help to people that otherwise would not be able to gain access to legal advice and assistance but provides valuable experience to the next generation of lawyers. This also shows Healys’ commitment to local and wider community”.
