31 Biometric Appointment Sites To Close

25th March 2020 by

Sopra Steria, the Home Office’s appointed commercial partner for obtaining biometric data for immigration applications, has announced that it is to close 31 of its UK Visa & Citizenship Application Service Centres (UKVCAS). The reason given by Sopra Steria for the closures is that these sites are operated in local authority libraries which have been ordered to close by the government because of the risk posed by the Covid 19 Virus.

The company has said that it will notify affected applicants and re-book existing appointments at the same application centre in 6 weeks.

Any applicant who has a biometric appointment at a library and has not heard from Sopra Steria should contact them immediately on 0330 1231199
