Speaker Profiles:

Pam Gordon – The Franchise Development Centre

Pam Gordon has a background in finance and business development. She worked for four years at HSBC Asset Finance in business development and account management. This gave her a great grounding in sales, customer service, staff and project management. Moving into franchising and several major career moves later, Pam is continuing to utilise her skills and passion for franchising to provide advice to existing businesses on franchising as a growth model. She also works with franchisors on franchisee recruitment strategy, including offering hands on support through The Franchise Recruitment Centre.

Sean Cragg – The Franchise Development Centre

Sean has extensive experience in sales, marketing and business development and is a firm believer that strong ethical Franchising brings more than just reward for a Franchisor. He believes it helps many people reach their own personal goals by investing in and developing, innovative, exciting brands as new markets emerge. The specific blend of experience Sean has encompassing leisure, healthcare and FMCG businesses, ensures he has a sharp eye for detail to ensure systems and processes are in place to help protect business, particularly when developing a Franchise network.

Martin John – Partner – Healys LLP

Martin is a Partner at Healys LLP. He has worked with large franchisors within the UK and International franchising sector, as well as new and prospective franchisors. Most recently, he has been assisting with the completion of a master franchise agreement and sub-franchise agreements for a major international franchisor.

Tracy Evans – Solicitor – Healys LLP

Tracy is a solicitor at Healys LLP. Tracy has extensive experience in advising, negotiating and the preparation of franchise agreements, preparing area development agreements, managing the franchise re-sale process (on behalf of either a franchisor or incoming/outgoing franchisee) and offering general advice on franchising.

Tracy and Martin are members of the franchise team at Healys LLP. Our franchise clients operate in a number of sectors including food and drink, retail, entertainment, leisure, hairdressing and property. Other services in this sector range from intellectual property and brand protection, through to commercial property, employment advice, litigation and dispute resolution.

Andrew Brattessani – Head of Franchising – HSBC

Andy is the new HSBC’s Head of Franchising. He has held a number of managerial roles within the bank, including his last role as Senior Area Commercial Director, leading the largest Commercial Banking team in the UK out of HSBC Headquarters in Canary Wharf with a portfolio of some 4,000 SME clients. He is a Banking Business Association (BBA) qualified mentor, which sees him mentoring SME’s who approach the Association for such services. As well as his U.K.roles, Andy has spent time in Hong Kong and Shanghai. HSBC has had a dedicated franchise unit for over 25 years and the team work closely with the bfa and its members to support ethical franchising.
