We are seeking a capable and personable support team member to join our friendly and diverse central London office.
The main focus of this busy role is on reception cover and on archiving. As a receptionist, you will be covering our full-time receptionist’s lunch breaks and holidays and you will also cover reception from 5pm to 6pm every evening.
A smart appearance and good interpersonal skills are essential as you will be dealing face to face (and by phone) with our clients and visitors, as well as your colleagues.
For the archiving part of the job, you will be responsible for checking, recording & closing client files, ready to be sent to storage.
The role does involve some lifting and carrying, as well as running errands, both within and outside the office. It won’t therefore be suitable if you cannot commit to fairly light but regular physical activity.
In addition to archiving and reception work you will cover Post Room absence, so you will learn how to deal with our daily post process.
This is a responsible and varied role and you should be flexible and adaptable, with a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience in a similar business, particularly as a receptionist, is advantageous.
Most of our lawyers now work on a hybrid basis and are only in the office some of the week. However, you will be joining a small & supportive admin team, all members of which are fully office-based.
We would like you to be able to join us as soon as possible and it is essential that you can commit to being fully office-based. Ideally you will live within easy reach of the office. This role is not appropriate for hybrid working.
The hours are 10am to 6pm and salary is at market rate.
