We are a friendly and diverse medium sized firm with an inclusive, supportive and progressive culture and offices in central London and Brighton.
We recognise the importance of training and development for all employees throughout their career, value our trainees highly and make every effort to ensure trainees become fully integrated into the practice, both in terms of work and socially.
As a Trainee, you will be given opportunities to work with clients, alongside our own legal experts and to develop a wide range of skills to maximise your potential. You will be given exposure to an interesting and challenging work load and to a wide variety of clients.
We offer an exciting and comprehensive programme over two years, with a variety of seats across a varied range of our practice areas. You will experience three to four seats, usually on a six month rotation basis, with access to a mixture of contentious and non-contentious work. You will be closely supervised and mentored throughout the training period, with regular informal and more formal update and appraisal meetings. These meetings will enable you continuously to review your progress and to raise and discuss any skills you need to develop, as well as your future objectives. This will ensure you get the best out of your training and that you end the two years with a clear idea of where and how you want to specialise.
We believe that the success of Healys LLP is built upon our people and we aim always to recruit high calibre individuals who have the skills, experience and commitment to enable us to continue to provide excellent client service and legal expertise.
We are therefore seeking ambitious, talented, highly-motivated and commercially aware trainees who are aiming to establish a career with us and who demonstrates potential to be a Partner of the future.
You will have a good first degree, in law or another relevant subject, such as history, English etc. with a minimum 2:1 classification, or a GDL/Master’s degree, again at a high academic standard. You will also ideally have completed or be studying towards the LPC.
Relevant work experience as a paralegal or in a business support role in a similar organisation will also be of benefit and we are also interested in ‘career changers’, from accountancy or banking backgrounds, for example.
We welcome applications from candidates with disabilities and we will always make any reasonable adjustments necessary to ensure that you are able fully to participate in the selection process at every stage. If you have a disability that requires reasonable adjustments, please state this on your application and/or notify us as soon as possible if you are selected for the first stage in the recruitment process.
